The festival of light,
Smiles on the face,
The house shining bright,
Diwali the festival is
workshipped at night,
A legend's homecoming is
celebrated with delight,
The occasion teaches us the path of right,
How a devotion to god can bring good heights,
Take care of their sight and ensure a candle to light,
In a house whose stones are not upright,
A smoky night can never be quiet,
A jouful day, another day tight,
Nothing to fear, nothing to fight,
Sweets if they bite, take care of their diet,
Have a beautiful day and wishful night,
And celebrate Diwali with a joyous smile.
